About Magda
Magda grew up in Satellite Beach, Florida. Her father is a musician and her mother is an actress, as well as a high school drama teacher, so it's no wonder her path led her to performing. After performing in school musicals and show choir in high school, Magda went on to graduate with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre from Valdosta State University in 2021.
After graduation, Magda relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, where she is currently based. Since moving to Atlanta, she has had unique performance opportunities such as working in entertainment at the World of Coca-Cola, where she performed as a "Fanta Fairy" meet and greet character, amongst many other things. She also performed as "Little Miss Muffet" at Stone Mountain Park for their 2021 Pumpkinfest. She has had a variety of exciting performance opportunities in the Atlanta area, including but not limited to playing "Woman 1" in I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change, "Bret" in Calvin Berger, and "Yvonne" in Sunday in the Park with George.
Magda has also served as a vocal coach for all ages since 2021. Her specialties as a vocal coach include building repertoire, working on technique, and teaching her students how to make any song work for them, not the other way around. Magda is currently working towards her Masters of Music in Vocal Pedagogy from Shenandoah Conservatory.
In addition to teaching and performing, Magda is passionate about the other side of theatre. She currently runs Places, Please! Theatre Company, a theatre company focused on performing innovative and meaningful works for adult actors, as well as creating a space for young performers to try new things and begin honing their craft at an early age. She also is the artistic director and founder of Acting Under the Influence, a performance group that does cabarets regularly at the Red Light Cafe in Atlanta.
